After conducting researches at the Université Libre de Bruxelles on the transnational trade of second-hand cars (Car connection. La filière euro-africaine de véhicules d’occasion, Paris, Karthala, 2018) and the transnational trade of second-hand clothing at Oxford University (La fripe du Nord au Sud. Production globale, commerce transfrontalier et marchés informels de vêtements usagés, Paris, Éditions Petra, 2019), I carry on the exploration of re-use universe by joining Virginie Milliot on the project « Mémoires de seconde main : objets de désirs, objets fantômes et résidus de l’histoire belge » at Paris Nanterre University. Integrated within the LABEX les passés dans le présent, this research project focus on Brussels’ flee market. In order to question the appropriation of end of life goods exchanged on the market, this collaborative project mix methods and disciplinary approaches such as ethnography, archivist analysis, anthropology and history.
