Bio

After a BA in Art History at University Lille 3 Charles-de-Gaulle and a MA "New technologies applied to historical sciences " at the École nationale des chartes, Antoine Courtin has been consultant, then in charge of the R&D programs within a startup  which provides digital solutions for cultural institutions (archives, libraries, museums) between 2010 and 2013. In octobre 2013, he joins as a research engineer the Labex “Past in the present” and more specifically the project "Modeling, repositories and digital culture."

On the same time, he has co-organised Museomix, an event dedicated to new forms of mediation thanks to digital tools, in the Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne in Nantes. He is involved in the movement of the cultural Open Data through the DataCulture hackathon organized by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, where he has won the Grand Prix. He also teaches XML in the MATA MA at the University of Picardie.

Bio

Ghislaine Glasson Deschaumes is a research administrator at the University of Paris Nanterre, an associate member of the Institute for Social Sciences of Politics and a member of the Scientific advisory board of the International College of Philosophy. As a research fellow, she is one of the founders and codirectors of the Scientific Interest Group (GIS) “Heritage Institutions and Intercultural Practices”. She is the founder and director of the international journal of critical thought Transeuropéennes (1993-2015). As a civil society activist, she has initiated and lead many international cooperation programmes, especially « Democratisation and Knowledge in Southeastern Europe » (1993-2004),  « Women Activists Actions Across the Borders » (1999-2004), « Euro-méditerranean Cultural Workshops » (1999-2003), « Translating in the Mediterranean Region » (2008-2014).

Her research interests include cultural translation, issues of language and translation in heritage institutions (museums, archives, libraries), and conditions for knowledge production and circulation, notably from the perspective of the centre-periphery relationship.

Bio

Marie-Dominique Mouton is head of the Éric-de-Dampierre Library. In this context, she has implemented a policy for collecting, safeguarding and developing the ethnologists’ archives. She encourages reflection on the methodological and ethical questions raised by the use and re-use of field materials. Her professional areas of interest also include: the evolution of research libraries, the development of documentary resources in anthropology, the history of Africanist documentation. She is co-founder of the Ethnology Network and the Réseau des Archives des ethnologues (Network of Ethnologists’ Archives), now labelled a Consortium in the context of Corpus IR. She served as an expert advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during its implementation of a cooperative of Anglophone and Francophone libraries in West and Central Africa.
