The Maison Archéologie et Ethnologie, René-Ginouvès organizes its first autumn publishing season. Every evening, from October 20th to 23rd, 2014, from 5pm to 7pm, two researchers will present one of their recent publications. These presentations will be followed by a cocktail that will be an occasion for discussing in a friendly atmosphere.
The evening of October 23rd will be organized by the Pasts in the Present cluster. The theme will be "Empires and globalization : reflections on global history and universalism". Hervé Inglebert will present his book "Le Monde, l’Histoire. Essai sur les histoires universelles", PUF, 2014 and Gabriel Martinez-Gros will present his book "Brève histoire des empires. Comment ils surgissent, comment ils s’effondrent", Le Seuil, 2014.
